In recent days there has been talk of Grottazzolina as one of the teams with the most experienced roster of the next Super League; However, there has also been a lot of talk about coach Ortenzi, who at 44 will be the youngest leader among the twelve best volleyball teams in Italy. Well, Rossano Romiti, who is the President of the M&G Volleyball School, is only two years older than his coach, and despite not being the youngest among his colleagues he is certainly on the podium and has already been a member of the Lega Pallavolo Serie Board of Directors A few years ago, at A3 altitude.
“We are getting closer to our debut in the Super League” – he says, his voice breaking with a hint of emotion. “It’s difficult to dive in and move on after the historic promotion season, which always echoes. For goodness sake, the undertaking is worth all this attention, but on Sunday we begin a new season, and taken up by the many tasks necessary in view of the debut, none of us has probably yet been able to truly achieve what we are about to experience. Romiti is a positive man, who hardly raises his tone and gets upset, but always ready for discussion and firm in his ideas: “I expect a difficult championship, but for which we will take the field without fear, aware of our qualities and ready to take advantage of every opportunity that presents itself. We would like to stay in the Super League, we’ll see if we can deserve it.”
