Antoine Brizard and Piacenza. Or rather Gas Sales Bluenergy Piacenza. A marriage that has lasted for four years. A marriage that brought luck to the French director given that since he wore the Gas Sales Bluenergy Piacenza shirt he has won two Olympics. And not only at an international level, always with France.
“Piacenza – underlines Antoine Brizard – I consider it my home. It’s a city that I like even if I don’t live there much, here in Piacenza I have matured as a man and as a player, they have been formative years and I’m honest, this year I came back to win something again after the Italian Cup. It was a beautiful summer between VNL and the Olympics, now my mind is only on Piacenza, on this team and club that have helped me so much in recent years and that I want to thank with new successes. My relationship with the Club is excellent, the President is close to the team, I couldn’t ask for anything better. There is the right environment to work well and in peace, there is a close-knit group, I get along well with the coach and his teammates, the fans are very close to us.
How has Antoine Brizard changed after two Olympic gold medals?
“I confess that after Tokyo something happened to me that I didn’t expect. I was classified as one of the best in the world but I wasn’t ready for this and this didn’t make me feel good. After Paris I feel more confident in my role and also in my person, now I play much more calmly and this will be seen here in Piacenza this season in which I will do everything to help Gas Sales Bluenergy to win”.
