Volley Lube announces that it has re-embraced with a two-year contract the Italian-Serbian center Marko Podrascanin, originally from Novi Sad, 203 cm tall and with a repertoire of shots as a great champion already appreciated in the 8 years at Lube between 2008/09 and 2014/15. In recent weeks Marko has trained at the Eurosuole Forum as a free agent, during the cooking training, with the firm desire to be part of the group, a period of time in which the player has renewed his feeling with the environment. In his previous career as a chef, Potke wore the captain’s armband for a period and won two Scudetti, one Challenge Cup, one Italian Cup and three Super Cups with Lube. Having spent four seasons at Itas Trentino, crowned in the last two years by the conquest of the Scudetto (2023) and the CEV Champions League (2024), the Serbian central defender will play as an Italian thanks to the change of federation.
Raised in Vojvodina Novi Sad, a club with which he won the Serbian Super League and the National Cup in 2006/07, but also two Serbian and Montenegro Cups previously, Podrascanin is preparing to face his eighteenth season in Italy. The debut took place with the Famigliulo Corigliano in A1, then the flourishing marriage with Lube, four championships in Perugia with Sir (one Scudetto, two Italian Cups and two Super Cups) and four in the Dolomites with Itas, in which over he also won a Super Cup in the Champions League and Scudetto. Fresh from the Paris Olympics with Serbia, Potke won two European Championships in the national team (2019 and 2011) but also a World League (2016).
