CUS Cagliari’s first seasonal outing ended with an excellent second place, obtained in the Paolo Cois tournament organized by Sarroch Polisportiva.
In addition to the rossoblù and the host club, the Campania team Folgore Massa Sorrento of A3 and Aqua S. Bernardo Cuneo of Serie A2 participated in the two days of volleyball.
On Saturday, CUS Cagliari and Folgore Massa Sorrento were the protagonists of a match that lasted 5 sets, which ended with the rossoblù victory.
A match played on equal terms against an ambitious team with important objectives, which gave many ideas to continue a path that suggests a great margin for improvement.
A different result on Sunday, in which the rossoblù were unable to prevail against the Piedmontese in the higher category. The final for the top step of the podium ended with a clear 3-0 for Acqua S. Bernardo Cuneo, a match which, despite the result, was useful for the technical staff to see all the members of the squad on the pitch.
A positive first outing of the season, which will give us the opportunity to continue the pre-season in the best possible way.
