Technical tests of great volleyball over the weekend at the PalaTriccoli in Jesi for the group of Giampaolo Medei, competing for the second edition of the Jesi Volley Cup. The Cucine Lube Civitanova, the team holding the trophy branded Jesi Volley&Sport, will take to the field on Saturday 14 September, at 8.30pm , against Allianz Milano of Roberto Piazza for the second Semifinal. The Cucinari match will be preceded at 5.30pm by the match between the Italian champions of the Sir Susa Vim Perugia and the vice-champions of France of the Tours Volley-Ball. The final for the 3rd place in the international event is scheduled for 3pm on Sunday 15 September, while in the Grand Final at 6pm the cup will be up for grabs between the winners of the previous day.

Giampaolo Medei (coach) : “The appointment will be challenging, we will face teams built to fight in the Champions League and at the top of the championships. The level will be raised and I also expect us to make progress. We interpreted the tests well, but at times we lacked continuity and the first objective is to avoid empty laps, both in the break phase and in the side out phase. From our point of view they will be tough tests. We are talking about a friendly tournament, the result will have no repercussions, the matches will provide interesting ideas for the difficulties created by the opponents or for our declines. Alex Nikolov will be with us in Jesi, but will not take the field. There is no official date for returning to the game, we cannot rush things. The Bulgarian athlete is fundamental for Lube and we want his recovery to proceed without rash moves.
