The spotlight goes off on the third week of preparation for the Joy Volley Gioia del Colle who, with dedication and attention to the smallest detail, supported training sessions focused on technique, muscle hypertrophy, strength and injury prevention.
Under the guidance of first coach Sandro Passaro and assistant coach Francesco Racaniello, the red and whites got deeper and deeper into the heart of the game at PalaCapurso, paying particular attention to the blocking-defending and ball-changing phases.
Important work has been done so far by the Gioia team, who will resume training tomorrow in view of the first test match against Aurispa Lecce, scheduled for Saturday 14 September, 6.00 pm, at the Tricase sports hall.
«Our preparation continues with great enthusiasm and at a rapid pace – the red and white libero Danilo Rinaldi confesses to us -. At the moment we are trying to improve team chemistry in different game situations. Specifically, we are focusing on the ball exchange phase, without neglecting the one linked to the counterattack. In addition to the training sessions focused on technique, we are tackling the equally tiring ones in the weight room, with the aim of arriving in the best possible conditions for the joint training with Aurispa Lecce, scheduled for next Saturday in Tricase – he explains -. In these three weeks of preseason, a beautiful harmony has been created within the locker room while solid foundations have been laid with the technical staff for a relationship based on discussion, collaboration and respect. The humility, dedication to work and professionalism demonstrated by the group, by the staff and by all the members of the club give us hope for the future, which I hope will bring a lot of satisfaction to both us and our fans.”
