Second joint home training for Campi Reali Cantù, and a 4-0 victory arrives against the Diavoli Rosa Brugherio, who play in Serie A3 Credem Banca. Still good indications for Coach Alessandro Mattiroli, with the team continuing its growth path in view of its debut in the championship.

Coach Alessandro Mattiroli starts with Francesco Cottarelli as setter, Francesco Quagliozzi as opposite, Andrea Galliani and Andrea Bacco as spikers, Manuel Marzorati and Nicola Candeli as central defenders, and Leonardo Caletti as libero. During training he gave space to all his players.

In the first set Campi Reali immediately took the lead thanks to a good attack (7-4, 15-11); the Pink Devils get closer (17-15, 23-22), but the comeback is not completed (25-23). Also in the second partial Cantù tries to escape (7-5), but Brugherio overtakes (8-10); Tiozzo overturns everything in his serve (23-20) and Cormio closes (25-21). Even at the beginning of the third set the Canturini took the lead (8-5, 15-11, 20-12), and maintained the advantage until the end despite a few points nibbled by their opponents (25-19). Fourth and final set with the hosts immediately ahead (9-5, 13-7, 18-9), and leading the games until the end (25-17h).

Once again the serving performance of Coach Alessandro Mattiroli’s boys was good, with 10 aces against 24 service errors. Of note is an excellent 64% in attack (Cormio at 82%), while the reception was not very precise (53% precise, 19% perfect, compared to only 3 aces conceded).

“Today’s joint training went a little better – says Coach Alessandro Mattiroli – compared to last week’s, regardless of the value of the opponents. The details we are working on this week, especially in relation to the ball exchange phase, have gone a little better, and this is a good thing. We will continue to work to be ready for the start of the championship.”
