The athletic preparation of Joy Volley Gioia del Colle continues at a rapid pace and, under the careful guidance of the first coach Sandro Passaro, the assistant coach Francesco Racaniello and the athletic trainers Max D’Elia and Fabio Di Vita, has completed the second week of training sessions with the last session held on Friday afternoon at PalaCapurso.
Thus another five days of intense and tiring preseason are archived, during which the red and whites continued to work on individual technique, concentrated on taking care of some game situations and, in the Box Zeta I gym, carried out new exercises focused on more on muscle hypertrophy and injury prevention.

«We are very satisfied with the work we are carrying out with the boys – says assistant coach Francesco Racaniello -. The balance of this second week of preparation can also be considered very positive, in which we focused on the blocking-defending phase and, in the last training session, on the ball-changing phase. Thanks to the commitment and dedication of the group, to the many professionals present in the technical staff and to the great corporate organisation, we are preparing ourselves as best we can for the next two weeks, which will lead us increasingly into the heart of the game and the first test match of this preseason ».

Athletic trainer Max D’Elia echoes him: «It is a great pleasure to work with these athletes who, on a daily basis, stand out for their commitment and professionalism – he confesses to us -. They showed up at the meeting in optimal physical condition, after following in detail the instructions and suggestions we provided in June. Starting from a good base, we are carrying out excellent work focused on muscular hypertrophy, preparatory to the work on strength that we will tackle next week, and a full-bodied program of exercises aimed at preventing injuries – he explains -. In the gym we are paying maximum attention to the needs and characteristics of each of our players. The objective is to draw up personalized training plans, which can allow each athlete to best express their qualities and potential.”

The red and whites will return to action tomorrow morning, Monday 2 September.
Marking the start of the third week of athletic training will be a new training session in the weight room.
