After the end of the 2023/24 season which saw Sir Susa Vim Perugia win the title of Italian Champions, everything is ready for the start of a new and exciting season which will open on 21 and 22 September 2024 in Florence with the Del Monte® Super League Super Cup.

The Semi-finals, scheduled for Saturday 21 September, will be played at 3.30pm (live on Rai Sport) and 6.00pm (Rai Play); the match that will award the title will be staged on Rai Sport at 6pm on Sunday 22 September.

Four teams will compete at the Pala Wanny in Florence to win the first title of the season, with the event which will officially open the 80th Serie A Championship: the two teams protagonists of the Scudetto and Italian Cup Finals, Sir Susa Vim Perugia and Vero Volley Monza, as well as Itas Trentino and Gas Sales Bluenergy Piacenza, who qualified by virtue of their placement last season.

It will therefore be the Italian champions Sir Susa Vim Perugia who will inaugurate the season, in the match against Gas Sales Bluenergy Piacenza. In the match at 3.30pm live on Rai Sport, the Block Devils, after last season’s success, will try to repeat themselves, knowing full well that the other teams have also been able to strengthen themselves. Yuki Ishikawa and Agustin Loser have arrived at Angelo Lorenzetti’s court, via Milan, ready to reinforce the spikers and central defenders respectively. Piacenza, which qualified for the event having finished the Regular Season in third place last year, will still have Andrea Anastasi at the helm, with Antoine Brizard, fresh Olympic Champion in Paris 2024, who will try to guide his team towards the Final, supported from new signings Stephen Maar, Gianluca Galassi and Uros Kovacevic.
