Cisterna Volley increases the engine speed in view of the championship debut against the European Champions of Trento at the end of September. After the double home match against coach Zanin’s Italy Under20, eight more matches are expected for Cisterna Volley this pre-season. It starts on Friday 30th at the PalaBarton in Perugia against coach Lorenzetti’s Italian Champions, while the last match, at the PalaMaggetti in Roseto degli Abruzzi, will be on Thursday 19th September against Grottazzolina.

The last friendly match of the pre-season will feature a match between two Super League teams in Abruzzo, in an area that has always been passionate about great volleyball, despite not having a team representing the top flight in recent seasons. “The idea of organizing this match here came from Candido Grande – explains the FIPAV President of the Abruzzo regional committee, Fabio Di Camillo – We jumped at it to be able to bring Superlega volleyball to Roseto, where we found the availability of the municipality to give us the system. The public will have the opportunity to see the work of players who played on both sides of the Olympics, including Faure, who won gold with France. There is a lot of satisfaction for a show, the one offered by the top Italian championship, which has been missing in our region for a few years.”

Specifically, Cisterna Volley will participate in two tournaments. The first, “Team Spirit”, is the charity event in memory of his friend the volleyball player Francesco Rampini, prematurely
who passed away in a road accident way back in 2012. From that moment on, the five associations of which he was part, Leukos – Famiglia dei Santantoniari – Pallavolo Gubbio – Circolo ’99 – Baracca Party, joined together giving life to a quadrangular volleyball team in its eleventh consecutive edition.

The Pontine collective will subsequently be involved in the two-day Calabrian event in Corigliano-Rossano, at the Codex and Castello Trophy. The program of the event, now in its third edition, includes two semi-finals, a final for 3rd and 4th place and the grand final for first position.
