At Joy Volley Gioia del Colle the first week of athletic preparation has already passed in view of the next A3 Credem Banca men’s volleyball championship.
After the osteopathic evaluations carried out by the specialist Francesco Boggia and the biomechanical and kinesiological tests carried out on Monday, the red and white team underwent the first seasonal training sessions at the PalaCapurso, at the Eden-Il Parco sports center in Dalù and at the weight room of Box Zeta I, fitness partner of president Gianni D’Elia’s company for the 2024/2025 sports season.
Led by athletic trainers Max D’Elia and Fabio Di Vita, the red and whites carried out specific work focused on muscle hypertrophy, combining them with interval training and functional and injury prevention exercises.
Under the careful supervision of the coach Sandro Passaro and the assistant coach Francesco Racaniello, however, Danilo Rinaldi and his teammates regained confidence with the technical gestures, carrying out preparatory exercises for the work on the game systems which will be addressed in the coming weeks.

«At the end of this first week of preparation, the sensations are very positive – says the red and white coach Sandro Passaro -. From the first training session, the group showed a strong attitude to work, great enthusiasm and a lot of motivation. The boys responded very well to the physical work program carried out over these five days, during which they had the opportunity to get to know each other and appreciate the warmth of the red and white fans. The welcome given to us at the stadium on Tuesday was truly emotional. It is a privilege for us to be supported by such passionate fans – he admits -. As far as technique is concerned, we carried out very light training sessions, focusing on first and second touches and performing a few jumps on the sand only in Friday’s session. From tomorrow we will intensify our work at PalaCapurso which, gradually, will focus on the different game situations.”

The resumption of training is set for tomorrow, Monday 26 August, with a session in the weight room in the morning and one at PalaCapurso in the afternoon.
