President Gino Sirci’s group has been complete since yesterday, with the return of Simone Giannelli, Roberto Russo and Kamil Semeniuk, and is preparing by alternating sessions in the gym, under the guidance of athletic trainer Sebastian Carotti, with work on the field, with orders of coach Angelo Lorenzetti, his deputy Massimiliano Giaccardi and the entire Perugia technical staff.
The last three to arrive at PalaEvangelisti yesterday had a session in the weight room after having hugged their coach and teammates again. For Simone Giannelli this season will be the fourth with the Sir Susa Vim Perugia shirt: it is a new chapter that opens, after a three-year period that has literally flown by:

Two Club World Cups, two Super Cups, two Italian Cups and a Scudetto are the rich spoils won by Giannelli in the Sir shirt in just three years: the satisfaction is great, but the Juventus director aims to always look ahead!
«There have been a lot of successes in recent years and I’m happy but those are now behind us so we have to try to think about what we have to do to get back to being hunters for finals. We leave the pressure to others, we willingly take on the responsibilities, because we want to do well and we care about Perugia, the club, the team and the fans. We earned the tricolor last year and it will be a pleasure to play for it this year but that doesn’t give us any advantage to win matches, so it will certainly be something different for us but we have to think about training and understanding what to do and what to do to have a good season.”
Thanks to the successes and poker of last season, Sir Susa Vim Perugia will return to compete for all objectives this year, including the Champions League: «We certainly missed her, last year we were happy with what we did but we are missed a bit and above all we were sad to see the others playing and us not being able to do it so I’m happy to have achieved this goal because it’s a goal we had since the beginning of last season: bringing Perugia back to the Champions League and we did it!”
