In the two joint training sessions against Italy Under 20, Cisterna Volley presented itself to its audience, who turned out in large numbers for the double event at the Palasport in Via delle Provincie. Many new faces will star in the double test, awaiting the championship which will see Cisterna Volley debut at home against Trento on September 29th.

Specifically, the Venezuelan Willner Rivas, in the new role of opposite, thanks to the absences of Faure and Czerwinski, was Cisterna’s best scorer with 34 points scored in the two tests (19 on Wednesday, 15 on Friday). Spiker Yuga Tarumi showed excellent numbers from nine meters, with 6 aces made, 3 per game and a total of 30 points scored (13 in the first match, 17 in the second match). The libero Domenico Pace immediately made a great contribution in the second line, while in the center Enrico Diamantini collected 12 points, including the decisive block in the first test, to close the match in favor of Cisterna 3-1.

Domenico Pace takes stock of the situation, after the first block of work in view of the next commitments, in the preparation process for the next Super League championship: “The commitments against Italy Under 20 were excellent training sessions, we didn’t have them seen as matches, but they gave us useful answers on the pitch for all aspects, from reception to ball exchange and in every aspect of the game. We are waiting for the other guys in the team to arrive, in the meantime this week the Italian national team gave us a hand with our preparation. Little by little we are seeing the improvements, with the arrival of the other elements we will be ready to start this championship in the best possible way. I’m feeling really good at Cisterna, everyone welcomed me very well, now my wish is to be able to have fun with this crowd this season.”
