Also on the pitch for a few days at the Eurosuole Forum is Diego Gatto, baby spiker from Castelfidardo, born in 2008, 198 cm tall, member of the Volley Lube Academy. The preparation of the first team continues unabated, punctuated by the exercises and the amount of work established by the coach Giampaolo Medei and the athletic trainer Max Merazzi. The Cucine Lube Civitanova is also welcoming the national teams in groups: the Iranian spiker, born in 2004, Poriya Hossein Khanzadeh, is in the gym.
Eyes wide open towards the group, a bit of trouble getting used to the rhythm of the big names, but a lot of willpower and a good hand for Gatto, who has already been on the Italian youth national team for two years and recently on the Marche roster which took part in the Trofeo delle Regioni under the guidance of Romano Giannini.

I come from an intense and positive year, this week is the icing on the cake and a point of connection between the season that has ended and the next one with the Academy. Thanks go to the first team and youth staff. The first two days were really tough together with athletes of another level, little by little I’m getting used to their loads. It was Osmany Juantorena who made me fall in love with volleyball , but now my idol is Alex Nikolov and being on the pitch side by side with him gives me so much energy.”
