Assistant coach Marco Monaci will still be part of the technical staff of Emma Villas Siena. Monaci has been a pillar of the biancoblu youth sector for years, leading many groups of kids from the Sienese club. Since last season he has also held the position of assistant coach of the first team, a role for which he has also been confirmed for next season.
Emma Villas Siena began its preparation phase yesterday. Training is underway in Cascia, where the Sienese team will remain until Sunday. The guys on the team started doing physical tests, athletic training but also immediately started carrying out technical and ball training.
“We are in a beautiful location – declares the assistant coach of Emma Villas Siena, Marco Monaci, – we are happy to be here in Cascia for the first days of our seasonal preparation. There is a core of players who were already in Siena last season and there are also some new additions to the roster, these days will be used to do physical tests but also to touch the ball and obviously to get to know each other. I am satisfied with the market set up by the club during the summer and also for the players who were confirmed from last season, given that they were the protagonists of a very good year which culminated with the Serie A2 playoff final. I therefore believe that they deserved this confirmation.”
Then a look at what the next A2 series tournament could be: “There are various teams that will try to win the championship, many teams have raised the bar compared to last year. Last season we reached the Serie A2 playoff final, this year we will give our all and try to do even better.”
