The players have arrived in Siena and tomorrow they will carry out their first training session of the season. In fact, tomorrow is the day the preparation begins, which will start from Cascia, in Umbria. It will be a mini-retreat that the white and blue team will carry out, which will remain in the Umbrian town until Sunday. From Monday 26 August, the Emma Villas boys will begin training in Siena.

The boys have now arrived in the city in view of tomorrow morning’s transfer to Umbria. Stefano Trillini arrived in Siena this morning: the central defender is one of the players confirmed in last championship’s lineup, he has had an important season and his goal is now to continue his path of growth and maturation. Last championship Trillini scored 207 points with 55.2% in attack and with 65 winning blocks, with an average of 0.61 point-blocks per set. He certainly provided a significant contribution in Siena’s triumph last season.

Then it was the turn of Thomas Nevot, another important piece of the team coached by coach Gianluca Graziosi who reached the playoff final of the A2 series last season and who this year aims to experience another important sporting year . Nevot settled immediately in Italy, led the Sienese group last year and is now expected in another important championship.

Subsequently, the Brazilian spiker Alan Patrick also arrived in Siena. He arrived late this morning, after having made an intercontinental flight: Sao Paulo-Paris and then Paris-Rome, until arriving in Siena. The 29-year-old Brazilian took part in the final of the Carioca championship a few months ago, now he will have his first experience in Italy and in general outside his country. He is learning the Italian language and is eager to get to work in the Bel Paese.

So from tomorrow the team will start training. This first phase of work will be fundamental to increase knowledge among the members of coach Gianluca Graziosi’s roster, in view of the start of the championship. The first day of the A2 series tournament is scheduled for October 6th: on that day Emma Villas Siena will make their debut playing at home against Aversa.

So we leave tomorrow. Between players who were confirmed from last season (in addition to Nevot and Trillini also Bonami, Pellegrini and Coser) and new arrivals on the volleyball market. Among them there are various experienced players who are called upon to bring their qualities to the group. Work begins tomorrow with the aim of experiencing another good season of sport.
