The new season of Joy Volley Gioia del Colle has started and, this year, for the first time in its history, it will present itself at the starting line of the A3 Credem Banca national men’s volleyball championship.
In fact, last night, in the company headquarters located in Piazza Umberto I, the first meeting took place between the management, the coaches, the athletes who make up the new roster, the medical staff and the communications team.
The meeting was an opportunity to get to know each other, to delve deeper into some organizational and logistical aspects in view of the start of athletic training and, finally, to reiterate the common desire to do well in the third national category.
The distribution of the representation tracksuits and training kits provided by Erreà, official technical sponsor of Joy Volley also for the 2024/2025 season, was followed by the traditional dinner of the red and white association, which took place in an atmosphere of great enthusiasm and sharing.
«We are very excited and motivated for this new adventure in the A3 series – the words of the president of Joy Volley Gianni D’Elia -. I asked everyone for commitment, dedication, determination and attachment to our colours, which I consider to be indispensable ingredients for experiencing an exciting season worthy of a historic volleyball venue like Gioia del Colle. I am very confident and have good feelings. The hope is to express beautiful and fun volleyball.”
This morning, meanwhile, all the athletes gathered at the PalaCapurso to undergo an osteopathic evaluation visit and some biomechanical and kinesiological tests.
In the afternoon, again at the sports facility in via Einaudi, coach Sandro Passaro will direct the first training session of the season.
The first week of preparation will run until Friday 23 August with further sessions focused on technique, weight room training, cross training and work on the sand.
