A few hours after the conclusion of the Camigliatello Silano (CS) collegiate season, the Italian U17 national team has been called up to participate in the category world championships, which will take place from 24 to 31 August in Sofia, Bulgaria.
Verona Volley will have its representative at the event. In fact, Riccardo Della Ventura, middle blocker player of the U17 Scaliger team, will also take part in the international tournament together with the rest of the group led by coach Luca Leoni under the technical coordination of coach Vincenzo Fanizza.
The Italians will leave on August 18th for the Bulgarian capital, where they will face the group stage. The opponents of Group C are Argentina, Puerto Rico and Cuba. The matches of the direct elimination draw will be defined from the rankings of these groups, starting from the round of 16.
