On August 21st spiker Vlad Davyskiba will join the team, temporarily busy with the Belarusian national team, while on August 30th opposite Paul Buchegger will arrive and conclude the European Championship qualifiers with the Austrian national team. The last to join the team will be central defender Pardo Mati after the Under 20 European Championship which will end in the first days of September. This morning the coach Alberto Giuliani, the central defender Simone Anzani and the spiker Tommaso Rinaldi spoke in view of the next period of athletic training.
“The Olympics was a tournament of a very high level as we all saw – Giuliani begins – the teams that we knew were strong confirmed themselves without any major surprises. Both in terms of individuality and teamwork the level was unquestionable. Congratulations to the women’s team, to Julio Velasco and to the entire gold movement, the men’s team also played an excellent game and we can certainly all be satisfied with what we have seen and what we will see in the future.
Today here at PalaPanini we start training again with enthusiasm to prepare the team to express physical, technical and team quality. We want this preparation to be total, without underestimating any aspect. What team would I like? A team that quickly understands how to deal emotionally with the different fundamentals, a team capable of being in focus in all phases of the game.
It will be a more regular season than the last ones, with few midweek commitments, so we will be able to do a good preparation and we will also be able to possibly touch up something during the year having space to work between one race and another. We have a lot of dualisms in the team, I think it’s a great stimulus for the boys and it will be an added value.
