While waiting for the official start of pre-season preparation, scheduled for next August 22nd at Villa d’Agri, Rinascita Volley Lagonegro is keeping track of the youth sector, one of the club’s flagships.

President Nicola Carlomagno together with the management sector, in total synergy with the technical staff led by coach Lorizio, reserves high hopes for the grassroots activity, which must act not only as a glue between the very young players and the first team, but also and above all as example for those who want to approach sports in a context that perfectly combines competitive spirit and fun.

The 2023/2024 season ended last month with some young athletes from the men’s sector competing in the Regions trophy held in Corigliano-Rossano. A season full of commitments and satisfactions, with athletes between the ages of 4 and 19 busy carrying out training sessions and championships in all categories: from minivolleyball to the female Under 16 and male Under 19, the red and white club has participated in 9 category championships, with over 150 young athletes followed and supported by an adequate staff of coaches.

The pride of the season was the conquest, for the second consecutive year, of the regional title in the Under 17 men’s category, with the consequent right to participate in the national finals held in Lanciano at the end of May. And now, everything is ready to start the new season starting in September.

“La Rinascita is and must continue to be a beacon in the territory to which it belongs – declares Roberto Simone, head of the youth sector – it is no coincidence that over the last few seasons male and female athletes from various neighboring countries have approached the Rinascita family. The main objective is to maintain the right connection between the first team and the entire youth sector, both male and female – concludes Simone – this is and must continue to be the main source of the results that Rinascita aims to achieve” .
