The withdrawal of Conad Reggio Emilia continues. On the evening of Friday 9 August, after dinner, the team and staff went to Piazza della Resistenza in Felina where the Felina Musical Band directed by Davide Castellari was waiting for them. In addition to the excellent musical concert, the band paid homage to the boys by playing “We are the Champions” by Queen. Subsequently, it was impossible not to also involve the citizens who greeted the team, singing the Mameli Hymn together.
On Saturday 10 August the athletes do not lose sight of the main reason for the meeting, and therefore the weights and swimming sessions begin early in the morning. After the morning training, the team undertook the walk towards the Pietra di Bismantova. Before reaching the top, a stop was made at the Pietra hermitage to visit the Laudato Si Center, where the reconstruction of the center after the fall of a boulder from the Pietra was discussed. Inside the hermitage it was also possible to visit the pictorial exhibition that fills the walls of the Laudato Si Center. The climb to the top of the stone was guided by volunteers from CAI Bismantova. Once at the top the guides were able to tell the team about Dante’s verses which well represent the climb to the top of the symbol of the Tuscan-Emilian Apennine park.
Saturday awaits the most awaited event of the week, the one organized by Volley Tricolore: on the night of S. Lorenzo all’Aquila Nera in Felina, like every year, the karaoke evening is hosted, aimed at getting to know the citizens and spending time with everyone together.
