This evening, at the Virgilio Gardens, the city welcomed the Gioiella Prisma Volley team with a pleasant and informal meeting. Present at the evening were President Bongiovanni, Vice President Elisabetta Zelatore, the management of the Ionian club, Deputy Mayor Gianni Azzaro, regional and municipal councilors, the Provincial President of CONI Michelangelo Giusti, the President of Fipav Taranto Agostino Greco, the sponsors and the fans .
President Bongiovanni opened the speeches by expressing his emotion for the start of the new season and thanking all those who contribute to the success of the club: “There is a lot of emotion like every year but also awareness at the start of this new championship. I am happy to be with you, I am happy to be with people who demonstrate intelligence, availability and humanity. I thank everyone from the smallest to the largest. I thank all those who are giving us a hand: I asked my boys and said first that we are a big family, we have been doing volleyball for 25 years and I love having strong bonds with people because today we need to love polite people who every day they demonstrate the affection we have for this sport, which is a human sport, a family sport that unites people.”
