Not just Serie A2 Credem Banca: the time is approaching for the almost 100 kids who make up the youth sector of Campi Reali Cantù to begin preparation for the 2024/2025 season.
An increase in the number of members is also confirmed for the season that will begin this autumn, thanks also to the strongly supported and well-attended Open Days.
In addition to this, it is also worth mentioning the confirmation of the coaches of the older athletes (Angelo Pozzoni for Serie D and Under 19, and Fulvio Roncoroni and Alessandro Figini for the Under 17). Fulio Roncoroni will also coach the Under 15s, supported by new entry Francesco Crippa, and the First Division. New faces (but not too many) also for the Under 13s: Giulia Sbalchiero, already the athletic trainer of the youth sector, will be joined by Arianna Cairoli.
Thanks to Luca Pellegrinelli, physiotherapist who, in addition to the first team, was also a point of reference for the youth sector: his professional path will not cross ours for the next championship.
“I am very happy that this is the third consecutive year of this project – says the Technical Director of the Youth Sector Alessio Zingoni –. I would like to thank Ambrogio (the President Molteni, ed.) who trusts us for this important project, and ‘Tete” Pozzi and Maurizio (the DS Cairoli, ed.) who always help me in the organizational management of the teams. As has been happening for a few years already, our numbers are growing for the next one too: this will allow us to face all the championships from Serie D downwards. We will also have all the Under categories. For the Under 13s we will face both the 3×3 and 6×6 championships as was the case last season. There will be a good ‘wave’ of new coaches, who will support the confirmed ones. We hope to also have a large number of new arrivals among the younger ones, Under 13 and Minivolley: last spring’s Open Days went very well. Here too the numbers are always increasing, and this makes us very happy, even if there is always room for improvement. The third year of a project is already a good watershed, because it allows us to draw an initial assessment: it will be a very good year regardless of the results. The latter are indeed important, but they must be accompanied by the growth of the athlete, which has been our philosophy since we started. We are always trying to do the best, and the relationship between the first team, which participates in the Serie A2 championship, and the youth sector will always be important.”
