Francesco Gasperin is one of the most precise, lucid and analytical people in all of Belluno Volley. Gasperin, in fact, is the scoutman. And, also in the 2024-2025 season, he will be part of the staff.
STEP – Proclamations? Few. I commit? Total: «We will only see in the gym what kind of results we can achieve – he says -. Of course, we will try to achieve the goals that society and the public expect. But the past has taught us that it is better to start with a certain caution and concentrate exclusively on work in the gym.” Gasperin intends to go up a further step: «There will be some changes on an organizational level, given that we will try to introduce aspects relating to experiences gained in the top flight. In this sense, I am in contact with some Super League scouts.”
RELATIONSHIPS – Beyond professionalism and wealth of knowledge, the human aspect cannot be missing: «I am firmly convinced that the quality of the work depends a lot on the type of relationship between the team and the staff or the company. From this point of view, as far as I’m concerned, collaboration will be maximum. This doesn’t mean being friends with every player, but reaching a level of collaboration that allows you to give your best in the gym. Furthermore, respect for roles is valid in every sector: even in volleyball.”
MOTIVATION – From athlete to scoutman, Belluno Volley has always had a significant weight for Gasperin: «It is the club for which I played and now it represents an important reality for the entire territory. It had the merit of creating a lot of enthusiasm and, consequently, the basis for the future. Many friends with whom I shared the journey with these colors are no longer here, but this is part of a corporate journey aimed at raising the name of Belluno high.” The scoutman is ready to start again: «I won’t deny that, on an emotional level, last year’s semi-final against Fano left many consequences. But, at the same time, it will give the right motivation to do even better in the next and now imminent season.”
