After the return as head coach of Giampaolo Medei on the bench of Cucine Lube Civitanova and the renewals of the second coach Romano Giannini and the athletic trainer Max Merazzi, the Club announces that the meeting is set for Thursday 8 August at the Eurosuole Forum. A ‘new entry’ and all confirmations among the close collaborators in the gym and infirmary.

The technical staff, which also this year makes use of the assistant coaches Enrico Massaccesi and the scout-man Alessandro Zarroli, is strengthened by the addition of the assistant coaches Matteo Zamponi, former coach of the Academy Volley Lube with brilliant results (recently vice champion of Italy with his boys at the Boy League in Fano) and fresh from the world championship silver in Okinawa as Coach of the Italian Deaf National Team, a selection with which he also won the category bronze at the World Championships in Chianciano (a medal that had been missing for over 20 years ), the bronze at the Olympics in Brazil and, last summer, the bronze at the European Championships in Turkey. Protagonist as an athlete in Serie A, Zamponi grew up in the red and white youth teams and then made his name in the top division with the Lube shirt in the second half of the 1990s and continued his career with numerous teams between B1 and A2.

Matteo Zamponi (assistant coaches):

“For me it is a source of great pride. I have always felt like a Lube man since I started playing through the youth ranks and then landed in the first team. Always in the red and white I had the pleasure of training young talents in the Academy and now I’m starting this adventure with a top-class staff and a head coach like Giampaolo Medei who for me is among the best around. ‘Giampa’ also trained me, now I will try to help Lube and grow technically by putting myself at the Club’s service.”

The medical staff, confirmed in all its elements, will still be composed of the health managers Mariano Avio and Danilo Compagnucci, the physiotherapists Marco Frontaloni and Tommaso Pagnanelli, together with the nutritionist Alessandro Marinelli. External figures also include illustrious professionals who accompany the work of the staff such as, for example, Massimo Balsano for spinal pathologies.
