Emma Villas Siena therefore starts again with Thomas Nevot, the French setter who last season demonstrated that he had quickly and perfectly adapted to the Italian championship by playing a very good sporting year. Nevot will play again in Siena, and will do so with the same number worn in the past championship, 3. Twenty-year-old Pietro Melato, from the Modena school, will instead wear number 5.
The opposite Gabriele Nelli will instead wear the number 11 shirt. Nelli will therefore abandon the 2, which he had for many years in Trento and will take the 11, the same number (among other things) as his seasons spent in the Super League. For the opposite, who aspires to be one of the protagonists of the championship, next season will be his first career season in Serie A2.
Spikers chapter. Luigi Randazzo wore the number 18 for the first time in the 2016-2017 season in Verona, then he did so for three years in Padua, in Cisterna and again last year in Catania. He will also wear the same number in Siena in what will be his first sporting year in the A2 series.
Claudio Cattaneo takes back the number 77 which certainly brought him luck last year. He had never worn it in the past in the seasons spent between the A3 and A2 series, he got it a year ago and with that number he then won the A2 championship with Grottazzolina. He will try again next season with Siena, and with the same number on his shirt.
The Brazilian Alan Patrick Araujo will wear the number 9 shirt, already worn in the Carioca championship. Matteo Alpini will wear number 10, Federico Pellegrini confirms 15.
No surprises regarding the shirt numbers of the centre-backs. Stefano Trillini will have the 2, and moreover the “Marche wall” had the same number last season and has worn it continuously since the 2018-2019 sporting year, having worn it with the jerseys of Potenza Picena, GoldenPlast Civitanova, Pineto, Aversa, Motta di Livenza.
Andrea Rossi will wear number 13, already worn in Siena in the 2021-2022 season. The first time he wore the number 13 shirt was in Mantua in 2009-2010, then in Cuneo for three years, in Città di Castello and then in the nine years spent in the Super League in Latina and Cisterna.
Victorio Ceban will wear the 22 that he also wore last year in Castellana Grotte.
Federico Bonami confirms the number 4 shirt from last year, Martin Coser will still have the number 6.
