Sixth announcement from EnergyTime Spike Devils Campobasso. After those of the opposite Ivan Zanettin (confirmed), of the setter Lorenzo Piazza, of the spikers Jakub Urbanowicz and Pietro Margutti and of the middle blocker Tommaso Fabi (these last four all new entries), the rossoblù club maintains in its workforce what, rightly, with the 2024/25 season, he will be the ‘senator’ and the common thread in the adventure of the ‘little devils’ in the net.

In his fourth season – after three years in the cadettry – with the rossoblù, the Samnite winger Gianmarco Rescignano is ready to be an authentic point of reference for the group entrusted to Mariano Maniscalco.

For his part, the Campobassani striker still has in his heart the great sensations of the last tournament in a group of great substance (also this weekend they are meeting together in Tuscany for a 3×3 green volleyball tournament), but, obviously, it is widely projected as to what it will be.

«I feel fully part of this project and what is emerging belongs to me a bit. What we have done in the three cadet seasons with the recent treble in mind are moments that I have fully experienced, as well as the enthusiasm generated in the synergistic work between club, team and fans.”

Furthermore, well imprinted in the minds of Campobasso fans is the title of MVP achieved by the spiker from Benevento at the Final Four of the Italian Cup.

«A journey of great satisfaction – he acknowledges – starting from the qualification among the best four. Personal awards are certainly welcome, but they are the result of good team performances, because then they are an end in themselves. The important thing, then, is to go and get a success.”

Speaking of successes, however, the trio of the last tournament – for Rescignano – must now end up in the drawer of memories, because the A3 Credem Banca series and the Blue group of the tournament (the one considered by all the experts to be the more intricate) will complicate – quite a bit – the prospects.

«Our fans must project themselves onto a different tournament with many important teams in which everything will be called into question. Every match will be a battle and there may be difficult moments coinciding with defeats, which until last season could have been surprises. There the team will need additional support. They must always remain close to us, ready to forcefully make their support felt. Last season our supporters were a factor at home, but they gave rise to appearances in away games such as those in Genzano and Reggio Calabria where their warmth was fundamental.”
