The appointment with the Volley market in Bologna is the event that effectively opens the season to come: between Tuesday 16th and Thursday 18th July at the Zanhotel & Meeting Centergross in Bentivoglio, technicians and managers of the Superlega, Serie A2 and A3 series met for discussions, insights and workshops on marketing and communication strategies and for the last memberships before the final gong.
For Brescia the squad was already complete with the middle blocker Alex Erati, Alessandro Tondo and Antonio Cargioli, the two liberos Nicolò Hoffer and Andrea Franzoni, with Oreste Cavuto, Roberto Cominetti, Giacomo Raffaelli Jordan Bisset Astengo, Andrea Bettinzoli, Gabriele Manessi and Filippo Zambonardi spikers and with captain Simone Tiberti as director, assisted by Matteo Bonomi. At the opening of the third day, the stage was offered to coach Zambonardi and DS Aquino who received from president Righi the banners of the trophies won in May, the Italian Cup and the Super Cup.
Next, room for the calendars: the season starts on 6 October 2024 and ends on 16 March 2025 to make room for Play-offs and Cups, like last year. The journey of Consoli Sferc Centrale del Latte starts within friendly walls hosting Cuneo and ends with the derby against Cantù, again at San Filippo. The 13 opponents will be Abba Pineto, Campi Reali Cantù, Conad Reggio Emilia, Consar Ravenna, Cosedil Aci Castello (dropped from the Super League), Delta Group Porto Viro, Emma Villas Siena, Evolution Green Aversa, Puliservice Acqua S.Bernardo Cuneo, Tinet Prata di Pordenone, OmiFer Palmi (which acquired the rights to S.Croce) and the newly promoted Virtus Volley Fano and Banca Macerata.
The Biancoblù coach comments enthusiastically: “Happy with how we ended last season, we are preparing for the next season also thinking about the Super League, but aware of the technical caliber of the other teams. The quality of the A2 is constantly growing and I am happy to immediately meet Cuneo, Aci Castello, Siena and Prata so we will measure from the beginning what on paper are the most formidable opponents, together with Ravenna. Among other things, last year Cuneo played as a guest of Grottazzolina who then won the championship…I want to see this as an excellent omen for us too, even if the values on the pitch cannot be measured by the cabal”
