Volley Mercato 2024 took place from Tuesday 16th to Thursday 18th July at the Zanhotel & Meeting in Bentivoglio (Bologna), the first Lega Pallavolo Serie A event of the 2024/25 season, which brought together managers and staff of the clubs SuperLega, A2 and A3, for a series of refresher courses, discussion tables and in-depth studies of various kinds.

The event was also an opportunity to celebrate the main results obtained in the past season, with the awarding of special prizes to those who distinguished themselves in all categories.

Among these, the prestigious Roberto Stracca Award was awarded, awarded to the Best Press Office of the Super League, Serie A2 and Serie A3 and dedicated to the memory of the late Corriere della Sera journalist, a great volleyball fan.

For the A3 Series, the winner was Carlo Cerutti, press officer of Volley Savigliano and, specifically, of Monge-Gerbaudo Savigliano, involved last year in the Girone Bianco. Carlo received the coveted “Golden Ball” directly from the hands of Massimo Righi, President of the men’s Serie A Volleyball League, and a personal computer to accompany the award ceremony.

“The recognition obtained by our press officer fills us with pride, because it confirms the ambition and quality of the work carried out by our company in all areas that revolve around the world of volleyball. Together with Carlo we started a journey in the summer of 2022, when we defined specific objectives and we believe this goal is confirmation that the path taken was the right one.” – explains the Biancoblù General Director Gilberto Botta, present at the three days in Bologna.

“These are emotions that are difficult to forget, especially for those who, like me, are used to talking about others more than themselves. I just want to say that this award is actually recognition for a great team. I therefore want to thank those who are part of it: first of all, the entire management of Volley Savigliano for their trust, Marco Botta, with whom I interact every day and who is an indispensable figure for the company’s communication, the photographer Silvano Carta and Matteo Brignone , who two years ago set this award as a great goal, even if it seemed something unattainable.” – explains Cerutti excitedly.
