Belluno Volley has a new athletic trainer. And it is a name that, in the volleyball field, does not need too many introductions: Alessio Carraro. A high-profile professional, since 2020 he has been “maintaining” the muscles of a Super League team like Pallavolo Padova, with which he will continue his journey. So much so that, in Belluno, he will rely on a collaborator: Tommaso Pavan.

Forty-three years old, originally from Mestre, he boasts a wealth of experience in elite volleyball. Even abroad: in the past, in fact, he worked in Poland (at AZS Olsztyn), Turkey (at Galatasaray), Romania (at CSM Targoviste). And in Bulgaria: both at club level, at Levski Sofia, and in the national team. In this regard, he was a protagonist in the 2013 and 2014 World Leagues, the 2014 European Championships and the 2014 World Championship. Staying on the subject of clubs, Carraro has also collaborated with Venezia Volley, Montebelluna, Sisley Treviso, Spes Conegliano, Silvolley Trebaseleghe, Fusion , Invent San Donà and Motta, while next season will be his fifth season in black and white, in the city of the Saint.

«The call from Belluno Volley honors me – says Carraro – because it is an indication of a particular esteem towards me. I accepted with great pleasure, on the condition that a boy helped me with the preparation and was regularly in the gym with the group.” This is how the figure of Pavan was identified: «I met him and he made a very good impression on me. Tommaso already has the maturity, and not just his age, to carry out his profession as best as possible. This cooperation, I am convinced, will be able to bear good fruit in the current competitive season and in those to come: Pavan will be active on the field, while my task will above all be managerial and organizational.”
