Delta Group Porto Viro strengthens in the middle with Andrea Innocenzi, born in 2000, 203 centimeters tall, in his last season at Allianz Milano in the SuperLega. The athlete from Segrate joins the other two places already on the roster, the confirmed Eccher and Sperandio.
Innocenzi grew up in the cantera of the Diavoli Rosa di Brugherio, the club with which he made his debut in Serie A3 in 2019/2020. Previously, in the 2018/2019 season, he had been added to the Milan first team in A1 for a short period. With Brugherio’s shirt he played four seasons in a row in A3, the last (2022/2023) as captain, scoring 388 points in total, 124 of which were blocks. Last summer he received the second call from Milan, who this time included him in all respects in their staff: his official debut arrived on the occasion of the return derby with Monza, a match in which he also scored his first point in the top Italian championship.
He has known Serie A3 far and wide, he has experienced the SuperLega first-hand in two different moments, Innocenzi’s career is only missing an experience in the Serie A2 Credem Banca championship, the one he will be able to experience throughout the year next to Porto Viro: “From the outside I have always admired this club, even when I played against it in the A3 promotion final a few years ago – says the new black and fuchsia central defender – It seemed like a nice environment, demanding but also careful to take care of people. I am even happier to play here because I find teammates with whom I have bonded a lot like Chiloiro and Eccher, one of my dearest friends, Santambrogio, and finally coach Morato, who was one of my first coaches and who was one of the reasons for which I chose to come here. Everyone told me about the beautiful reality that has been created in recent years, with a club that is always present and a team followed by the city and by the many people who come to cheer on Sundays. For this I want to thank Delta which allows me, today, to try this new and exciting experience”.
