Woo-Jin Lee will be a player of MINT Vero Volley Monza. The Korean spiker born in 2005, who last season joined the first men’s team of the Vero Volley Consortium for an internship, will officially be part of the Brianza roster in the 2024/25 season.

Coming from Kyungpook University High School, Woo-Jin is ready to experience his first official adventure in Italy, wearing the shirt of the Consortium’s flagship men’s team. Equipped with great coordination and physical strength, thanks to his 195 cm height, he was named best spiker at the 2023 U19 World Cup in Argentina. Currently involved with the Korean senior national team, Woo-Jin will take part in the Asian Championships in Indonesia from 16 to 30 July with his U20 national team.

The player, sought at the beginning of the 2023/24 season by some of the best teams in the Korean Volleyball Federation, chose not to sign up for the draft, accepting the Italian option to take a further step of growth in his career. Woo-Jin, after the positive internship experience in Monza last season, will therefore be available to coach Massimo Eccheli in the 2024/25 season, starting from the pre-season training camp.

“I am very happy to officially be a Monza player next season – commented Woo-Jin Lee, spiker of MINT Vero Volley Monza – I can’t wait to return to Italy and see all the fans filling the Opiquad Arena. Soon!”.
