Rinascita Lagonegro has defined the seventh incoming operation for the 2024/2025 season: the signing of libero Gianmarco Vindex, born in 2002, originally from Gaeta, is official. The Lazio player, 180 cm tall, thus completes (together with the very confirmed Nicola Fortunato) the defensive department available to coach Lorizio in a role that is as delicate as it is fundamental.
Gianmarco was born in Gaeta but lives in Formia, where he took his first steps in the world of volleyball. At the age of fourteen he moved to Foligno and here he will continue his journey in the youth sectors, also finding space in the first team. It should be underlined that with the Foligno shirt in Serie B and subsequently in Spoleto (in Serie C), Vindex will play the role of spiker. However, possessing strong defensive skills, the tactical turning point came during the 2019/2020 season, when he moved to Perugia to wear the Sir Safety jersey in Serie B (two consecutive seasons) and change position on the pitch. In 2021 he moved to La Spezia (Serie B) before tasting the first smells of Serie A in Ortona (2022/2023 season): in Abruzzo he made 25 appearances and won promotion to A2 together with his teammates.
The experience at Rinascita comes at the best moment of his career: “I am really happy to start the season in Lagonegro.
