There could not have been any better start to the season for the Wolves. It had a tough trip to face against the strong team of Loreto but it came back home with a 3-1 victory. Things had become even more difficult when Dolfo led his team to a first set lead but Santa Croce came back with a vengeance (25-14) before clinching the third 32-30. The guests then sealed it in the fourth on a 25-21 score.
