There are still some shirt numbers to be assigned at Consoli Sferc Centrale, but 10 remains fixed on the back of Andrea Franzoni, confirmed on the second line with Nicolò Hoffer. 35 years old and six years in A2, ‘Franzo’ will be on the court for the sixth consecutive season with the colors of Brescia, his hometown: “I am happy that Andrea continues his path here, for us his consistency and determination are essential. It is an element of experience and balance, an integral part of the Atlantide project – explains coach Zambonardi -. To aim for ambitious goals you need to have alternatives in all roles: managing two competitive teams in training allows you to then have a strong team in the match. Hoffer is a libero who I’m sure will do well here, but his is a key role and having Andrea as an alternative is an added value.”
“After a year that brought us two trophies, at the very least I want to enjoy them!” – jokes the libero – who says he is ready to work with Hoffer to reach new, even more ambitious goals. “It doesn’t matter if you’re not in the 6+1 lined up at the start, what matters is the contribution you make to that 6+1 in training or when you’re called upon to come on in difficult moments.”
After having secured the second line, the coach from Brescia confirms the stay of the young Andrea Bettinzoli (born in 2003) among the spikers and the entry into the first team of Gabriele Manessi (also born in 2003). Both trained in the Atlantide academy, Andrea has already been affiliated with the group with which he won the Italian Cup and Super Cup for a few years, while Gabriele will start training with the seniors from August. He is equipped with a good jump-float serve and good skills as a receiver and is added after an important growth path which will allow the blue and white coach to raise the quality level of training and to have an increasingly credible bench.
Atlantide’s technical staff is already complete: Paolo Iervolino will still be the second coach, while Alessandro Bergoli and Mimmo Iervolino are confirmed as assistant coaches with Max Redaelli, supported by scoutman Pierpaolo Zamboni.
Daniel Perez Lopez remains the athletic trainer of the Toucans and has already started making contact with individuals to plan summer activities. The young coach is busy this summer with the Spanish men’s national team which he is following in the Golden League and in the qualifying phase for the 2026 European Championships. “I had a great time with the club, the city and the athletes. The balance of my first experience in Brescia with the conquest of two titles can only be positive – confirms Perez Lopez.
