For the second consecutive year the spiker Andrea Bacco will play at Pool Libertas Cantù. One of the nice surprises of last season, he will try to carve out his space also in the next one under Coach Alessandro Mattiroli.
“When I saw Andrea training last year, and from the feedback I got from the environment that knows him, – says Coach Alessandro Mattiroli – I am very happy to have him. He’s a guy who works really hard and has work ethic, which is one of the things I put first. He has talent and good room for improvement, so he is a very valuable boy who absolutely needed to be confirmed.”
“I’m very happy to stay – says the spiker from Brianza -. My initial idea was to go to a team where I could play more, even in a lower category. But the President had other plans for me, namely to remain as the third gang. My expectations about my future, therefore, have changed. And the fact that I felt very comfortable here in Cantù also counts, as well as being close to home. My second year in Serie A2 has other stimuli than last year, even if the championship will be very different. The hierarchies between the teams are well defined, with those who have a good budget having built battleships. As for us, we know well that it will be an uphill year. But without having the pressure of an important result at any cost we can play freely and gain some satisfaction against anyone. Our objective must be to play every match to the maximum to try to achieve the results we have set ourselves, whether they are salvation or the Play Offs. I have already spoken with Alessandro Mattiroli, who so far I have only met as an opponent: being young, we will aim for my growth both on a technical and physical level, and this is my goal for next season.”
