The first news in the red and white home for the 2024/2025 season is a welcome return, that of spiker Stefano Ferri. Pesarese, born in 2000, lived in Macerata for two seasons from 2020 to 2022, after his experiences in Potenza Picena between A2 and A3; After leaving the red and white Ferri played in Fano, led by coach Castellano, while in the last championship he wore the shirt of Brescia in A2. “I am happy with the opportunity to return to Macerata. I have many good memories of the two seasons I spent in the red and white, I felt good both with the environment and with the club and the group. Now that the team has conquered the A2, the opportunity to return arose and I had no doubts in choosing Macerata again.”
It’s a different Macerata but you’ll find some familiar faces again, “It will be nice to play together with Gabbanelli and Sanfilippo again, we were together in my two years in the red and white; while I know some of the team’s new players as opponents but we will have time to form a group. It’s also a pleasure to meet coach Castellano again, he coached me in Fano and it was an important season; he is a prepared and ambitious coach.”
Coach Castellano also remembers Ferri well, “He is a boy with physical abilities above the norm and with the ability to play multiple roles. These are important characteristics for a player and I am sure that Ferri will be able to give us a great hand during the season.”
