The red and white club is preparing to present many new features in view of the next Serie A2 season, but starts again from some fundamental certainties, first of all the coach Maurizio Castellano, who led the team towards winning promotion. “In Macerata we work very well, I found a top-level club,” says the coach from Campania, who arrived on the red and white bench last year after his experience in Fano and a long career as a player, “For the season that awaits us my hope is to have an even fuller Banca Macerata Forum. Last championship we worked a lot in this direction and we want to continue like this; we have to play good volleyball, offer a sporting show that encourages people to follow us.”
A renewed group has been entrusted to coach Castellano, a mix of expert and young players, “First of all I would like to thank again the boys who helped us reach A2 last season, they did an extraordinary job and without of them we wouldn’t be here today. The new team will have the objective of having to quickly acclimate to the championship: we will find a more physical game and there are players who will have to learn to know the category; there will be no buffer teams in A2 and we won’t be able to afford empty passes, but excluding perhaps a couple of teams who have equipped themselves to lead the championship, I am convinced that we will be able to compete against everyone.”
