From Brazil to amaze. ABBA Pineto adds a new piece to the mosaic of the 2024/25 season: the spiker Vítor Baesso, a 26-year-old Brazilian (born in 1998) originally from São José dos Campos (São Paulo), will wear the blue and white colours.
Remarkable physical qualities – 201 centimeters to count on – Baesso represents a profile of international caliber, called up with Pineto for his first experience in Europe. Signed from Suzano Vôlei, ABBA’s new spiker has worn the shirts of Pinheiros, Sesi-SP, São Bernardo, Itapetininga, Pacaembu/Ribeirão and Apan/Eleva in his homeland. In between also a fortunate experience with Espérance Sportive de Tunis, in Tunisia, with which in the 2020/21 season he amassed trophies by winning the African Club Championships, the national title, the Tunisian Cup and the Tunisian Super Cup.
The firm will of DS Massimo Forese was behind Baesso’s arrival in Pineto: “Vítor is an international profile that I have been following for four years. From season to season I tried to bring him to us. We had to wait for the jump to Serie A2 and we finally succeeded. I am convinced that he is a player with great potential, who will obviously have to complete his adjustment process here in Italy, being in his first European experience, but who in my opinion will be able to do very well.”
Thus the new arrival Vítor Baesso: “I am enthusiastic about embarking on this new sporting and life experience with ABBA Pineto. Serie A2 is a very competitive championship, in one of the strongest and most popular nations in the world. It will be an honor to represent Pineto in such an important championship and I can’t wait to get started.”
