Born in ’96, 202 cm tall, the Croatian spiker Marko Sedlacek arrives in Padua for the next season of SuperLega Credem Banca. With several seasons behind him played in the top Italian championship, in Piacenza, Monza and Cisterna, during his sporting career, he can boast a series of important results achieved, both at club and national level. “I am very happy to return to Italy, I have really beautiful memories here,” declared Sedlacek.
In the last championship, the spiker originally from Zagreb wore the shirt of Polish team Jastrzebski Wegiel, winners of the Polska Liga Siatkówki, the top division of the Polish championship, and finalists in the Champions League, where they only surrendered to Itas Trentino in the final .
During his career he had the opportunity to play in the Croatian Serie A, with Mladost Zagreb, also winning the national cup. In the 2014_15 season, however, he moved to France to play Ligue A with Rennes. After a brief period, between 2015 and 2016, in the Italian Super League with Piacenza, he returned to Croatia, where he returned to play for Mladost Zagreb and, in the 2016_19 seasons, won two Super Cups, two Croatian Cups and two league titles.
Starting from the 2019_20 Championship he began playing for Vero Volley Monza, where he remained until December 2020, before arriving in the Turkish Superliga with the Galatasaray Istanbul team. He returns to the SuperLega again for the 2022_23 season, this time defending the colors of Top Volley Cisterna.
In terms of the Croatian national team, between 2013 and 2015, he was involved with the Under 19, Under 20 and Under 21 national teams, while in 2017 he was part of the Under 23 selection. In 2013 he obtained his first call-ups to the senior national team , with which he debuted in the European Championship qualifiers and, in the same year, won the silver medal at the European League. In 2018 he won gold at the European Silver League, while in 2022 he won bronze at the European Golden League and gold at the XIX Mediterranean Games.
