Sir Susa Vim Perugia shifts attention to the technical staff and announces the renewal of Massimiliano Giaccardi as assistant coach.
The coach born in 1974 and born in Savigliano in the Cuneo area doubles with the Block Devils after an extraordinary season in which Max conquered everyone for his competence, professionalism and dedication to work.
Perugia will therefore still be Giaccardi’s home, the last stop on a long journey that began in Romania, also passed through Umbria (at Nocera Umbra in the women’s A2 series), continued as assistant coach in the Super League for four seasons equally divided between Piacenza and Cuneo , who left for a season from B1, then abroad with experiences in Greece, Qatar and Switzerland and then back to Italy as first coach in Serie A2 in Cuneo.
Now the second year in Perugia and Max is happy about it.
“This renewal in Perugia is personally a great source of pride and fills me with happiness because it was shared with the club and because it means that my contribution last season was appreciated. I am very happy to have the opportunity to continue my relationship with Perugia, it is a great emotion also thinking about the next objectives and next season.”
An exceptional work group that can be encountered every day in the PalaBarton corporate offices at any time of the day. A group that will still see Giaccardi side by side with the first coach Lorenzetti and with all the rest of the staff.
“The fact that the staff is the same is very motivating. I believe it is also a demonstration of the company’s esteem towards a work group which in my opinion, regardless of the results, has demonstrated an aptitude for the work itself, commitment, perseverance, great attention to detail and study. All fundamental aspects for improvement and which could be important for taking a step forward next season.”
The ability to start from scratch, after an incredible season like the one we have just experienced, will be fundamental.
“How do we start again? We start again with a smile because what happened gives us awareness of our means. And we start again by clearly establishing the points where we want to grow and improve so that last season doesn’t cloud our concentration on what next year should be. Awareness is an important factor to maintain as is the focus on future goals. We will continue to look for improvement like last year, knowing where to work. We are already studying a lot to have a clear idea of what we need to do to ensure that technical and tactical improvement are the guidelines for our team next season.”
