Luca Loreti, an eighteen-year-old libero from Rome, will wear the Gas Sales Bluenergy Volley Piacenza shirt for the next four seasons. The agreement with the talented libero was reached in recent days to the satisfaction of both parties, Loreti will be a red and white player until 2028.
Born in 2005, 190 centimeters tall, he is making his debut in the Super League, in the last two seasons Luca Loreti has played in A2 with the Kemas Lamipel Sanata Croce shirt: 51 matches on the scoresheet, 126 sets played of which 98 in the last season, 631 receptions in the last year.
Luca Loreti is a young promise of Italian volleyball, already Under 18 European Champion, a few months ago in the last edition of the prestigious Wevza tournament, where Italy Under 20 took second place, he received the MVP award for best in the role of free. He was also awarded as best libero at the Under 17 national finals played with the Fenice shirt.
Roman, who grew up between Tor Sapienza and La Fenice, Luca Loreti took his first steps in volleyball at Tor Sapienza, where he started from minivolley up to the under 14s, also playing a few matches with the under 16s from under age. Having concluded his career at Tor Sapienza, he changed clubs, moving to Fenice where he played for just under four seasons, then the call from Santa Croce and after only two seasons here he is in the SuperLega with the Gas Sales Bluenergy Volley Piacenza shirt despite the courtship of other Super League teams.
Student in the fifth year of the Sports High School, Luca Loreti was predestined to play volleyball: his sisters played volleyball for several years, his mother and father played at high levels, his aunt was a volleyball player.
In the 2022-2023 season he made his debut in A2 and won the regional title with the Under 19 team of Santa Croce with which he participated in the national finals in Agropoli, in the province of Salerno.
With the Under 18 national team in the summer of 2022 he won the European Championship, last April he won the European qualifying tournament with the Under 20 national team which took place in Podgorica in Montenegro, Under 20 who from 26 August to 7 September will be involved in the European category championship which will take place in Greece and Serbia. Luca Loreti has already participated in collegiate games with the senior national team.
