In a packed and hot PalaKennedy, which hosted the Under 15 regional finals organized in collaboration with the Regional Committee of Lombardy, after the territorial title, coach Traviglia’s rosanero also won the Title of Under 15 regional champions, a gold medal which opens the doors of the national finals which will take place in Schio (VI) from 30 May to 2 June.
The Desio Volley Brianza team capitulated in front of the Pink Devils, surrendering to our boys in three sets (25-21, 25-22, 25-12), a match always firmly in control of the rosanero, with a fantastic exploit in the last decisive third set.
For Diavoli Rosa and Powervolley, this is the fourth title in the showcase of successes of the current season, to which are added another two silver and three bronze medals for a total of 9 territorial and regional podiums under 15, under 17 and under 19, the only clubs to have brought two teams in the top four under 17 and under 19 first to Milan Monza Lecco, then to Lombardy.
Coach Moreno Traviglia was very satisfied: “Regional category champions! A one-way race against Desio, always in control. In the first two sets there was great emotion, hearing Palakennedy encourage and support the boys is always very moving and stimulating, a few too many errors in attack and on serve kept the match in balance but in the third set we changed gear and we made our preparation count, winning the partial at 12. This title returns to Diavoli Rosa, with a close-knit and aggressive team, it gives us the final phase of the national finals in Schio and makes us aware of our potential! The necessary thanks go first and foremost to the club, to the managers and to the parents of the kids who follow and support them, thanks also to the staff for their support, to Gianluca and Angelo and to the super team manager Francesca”.
