The “Sport against the mafias” volleyball tournament took place on Saturday 4 May in memory of Giorgio Ambrosoli and Boris Giuliano, the final stage of the 2024 “It Depends on Us” education on the legality and ethics of Sport.
The path, launched last autumn, had developed until this morning in a series of legality education meetings in participating schools in March and participation in some panels of the 2nd edition of the International Anti-Mafia Festival.
Overall there were 156 students participating, coming from 5 schools, 3 from the city of Milan (Cremona, Vittorini and Virgilio high schools) and 2 from the Province of Milan (ITCS Primo Levi of Bollate and IIS Machiavelli of Pioltello).
Before the tournament, the male and female students participated in a meeting on sport ethics, volleyball and active citizenship with the team captain, Matteo Piano, and the athletes Luca Colombo and Andrea Innocenzi, interviewed by Pietro Spotorno, university student and activist by WikiMafia.
The winner of the trophy this year was the first team of the 4D of the Cremona High School in Milan, composed of Andrea Rivetta, Andrea Conte, Alessandro Cossu, Alessandro Tam, Marco Rana and Matteo Voghera!
