This morning, Thursday 2 May, Tommaso Lanci, President of Sieco Service Impavida Ortona, passed away. At the helm for over twenty years, Tommaso has been able to transfer his entrepreneurial skills into a sporting project that has proven to be undoubtedly successful. A huge fan of volleyball, but above all of his native Ortona, he was initially an active manager of Impavida, when at the end of the 90s he decided to invest in the cause by taking over the reins of the historic Ortona sports club in perhaps its darkest moment .
As president Tommaso Lanci achieved numerous successes. Under his guidance the first team climbed the championships and, starting from the Serie C Regionale, came close to a historic promotion to the SuperLega in the 2014/2015 season. There were also many successes in the youth championships with an Impavida team that won regional trophies and also achieved good placings in the national stages.
Today, a great person and a great President leaves us. Impavida Pallavolo Ortona, sure that he will never be forgotten, thanks Tommaso for what he has done both for the city and for the team.
Our strongest hug goes to his wife, Mrs. Maria, his sons Nunzio and Andrea, his grandchildren and all his relatives.
