This season the first team of the Volley Team Club has achieved great results. But behind it there is a youth sector that goes on the pitch every week and tries to emulate the greats. Recently those who did excellent things were Alessandro Mamprin’s Under 15 team who eliminated Volley Treviso in the regional semi-final. After the home defeat (1-3) the San Donato team went on to win 3-0 on their opponents’ pitch: “I believe that the word feat – comments Mamprin – is the right term to assign to this semi-final, Treviso has been participating for years always to the regional final and therefore to the national finals of this category, not to mention the championships won, the last one last year in this category. Few clubs so far have managed to do what we did, eliminating them directly in the regional semi-final and with a clear 3-0 at home.

The boys did well not to give up despite the 3-1 defeat we suffered in the first leg of the semi-final at home.”

A team that was able to redeem itself, training in the gym and playing game two in a perfect manner: “When it seemed that the dream was slipping out of hand, we entered the field in the second leg with a few more tactical measures but above all with the attitude of those who never give up, those who want to bring home a historic match. I think all the boys played the perfect game and the net result shows how much has been achieved by this group. Few teams, if any, have managed to beat Treviso 3-0 at home. This match will represent a small piece of history of Venetian volleyball.”

The future is ahead of us and the Under 15 boys will try to make it as bright as possible. “Now the regional final with Padova awaits us, we will play on April 25th in Zanè, they are a good team and very equipped, but we will do everything to honor the place we deserved and to try to bring home the first regional title in the history of San Donà. Furthermore, we are already qualified for the national youth category finals which will be held in Schio in the last week of May. Honor to my boys, we will try to bring home the best possible result.” Good luck guys!
