Perugia won it but Città di Castello did certainly not play badly at all. Radici’s team had no answer to Dias in the first set but reacted well in the second, taking an immediate 7-2 lead and maintaining it all through the set. Perugia regained the lead by dominating the third before concluding on a tighter fourth set.
“This was the kind of performance we expected at this time of the pre-season – said coach Radici – We did well at times, showing great will even if we made some mistakes. All in all, a good training session”.
