The Diavoli Rosa are increasingly raising the bar in planning and organizing, from season to season, a youth sector of the highest level. A youth sector that never ceases to amaze and give joy and satisfaction. This happened on Sunday 24 March on the occasion of one of the first key events of the season, the Territorial Finals.
On Sunday 24 March the Diavoli Rosa youth sector recorded a double podium under 19, with the two teams of the Diavoli-Powervolley Milano combination finishing first and third territorially. If already fielding two teams from the top four of Milan Monza Lecco was no small feat, let alone winning a bronze and a gold, gold which is repeated for the fourth consecutive season.
At the same time in Verano Brianza the women’s under 18 team won its first official trophy which confirmed its 5th place in the area, an important step given the great competitiveness of the women’s under teams and if you consider that the women’s sector of the Pink Devils is only at his third year of life.
Not satisfied, at a distance, in Garlasco, Serie A, which despite being part of the youth sector, considering the massive inclusion of our unders in the Serie A3 squad, won its last championship match by fielding the very young Prada on the pitch as director (2006) and also making the debut in Serie A of the even younger Bevilacqua (2009).
A Sunday not like the others that the Pink Devils will surely include in their pages of corporate history.
The Technical and General Director Danilo Durand tells us about it with pride.
Let’s start with the bronze and gold under 19. Durand, did you expect this double success? “ I’ll start by saying that we are really very proud of this double podium. We have set ourselves this goal since we started the collaboration with Powervolley and having succeeded in this undertaking is obviously a great satisfaction because it repays us for the many efforts made and certifies the quality of our work which allows not only one group but even two to complete a path of absolute excellence. It is a difficult historical moment for clubs that operate in the youth sector and therefore these successes have even greater weight. I can only hope that both groups will now complete the regional championship in the best possible way.”
