Luka Basic remains in Sicily and is the first confirmation of the Saturnia Acicastello roster for the 2024/25 season. The French spiker, when asked to wear the blue and white colors again to face the Serie A2 volleyball championship, had no doubts, because in this year of Super League with the club, with the fans and with the territory he has created a special bond.
“I am honored to be part of the Saturnia Acicastello project also for this second season. – explains the French player, who adds – I will do everything to best represent the city and the region and achieve the objective of a rapid return to the Super League”.
Basic, who played 22 matches last season, scored 121 points, with 5 aces and 110 winning attacks, was a fundamental player in many of the matches played, demonstrating that he has the coolness of grown-ups on the pitch despite his young age.
The French player, now Sicilian by adoption, is currently in Cannes with As Cannes to play in the Ligue B play-offs, and will return to Sicily in the summer to resume training under coach Placì: “I don’t I know him personally – explains Basic – but the new coach needs no introduction and I can’t wait to start working with him and my teammates”.
