The bi-weekly meetings of the #ace 2.0 – “vorreiBall” project continue on the theme of Team Building strongly supported by Gas Sales Bluenergy Volley Piacenza for its youth sector.
A project, in its second year of life, aimed at the athletes of the youth sector residing in the guesthouse and the staff who train these young athletes in the gym on a daily basis and which involves the educational services team of the La Ricerca Association of Piacenza.
A project, which will last until the end of May and which includes eight meetings, conducted by the psychotherapist and sports psychologist, Dr. Michele Bisagni and by the professional educators of the “La Ricerca” Association, Dr. Elisa Vezzulli and Dr. Andrea Praolini Lanza . Educators who already follow the children during the week in the guesthouse to support them in personal activities and in managing the house.
Two meetings have already been held, another six are planned, each meeting uses an interactive methodology, through questionnaires, group work and activities, and the use of multimedia elements. In the first meeting the theme was “Who am I? Who are we?”, in the second “Dedicating your time to stopping”.
Elisa Vezzulli and Dr. Andrea Praolini Lanza talk about the second appointment with enthusiasm: “Dedicate your time to stopping. This was the paradoxical challenge that we launched to the kids during the second meeting in which we asked them, accustomed to running between a thousand commitments, physical and mental, scholastic and athletic, to stop and listen to each other. An invitation to slow down, in movements and therefore in thought, to give space to feeling, the other and oneself in a new way, which however always starts from the body; body which is, for these kids, the fulcrum not only of their being athletes, but also of their being adolescents and therefore on a path of continuous becoming and change which involves, for those who look at them only from the outside, their body first and foremost”.
During the meeting, the educators proposed “a series of exercises typical of theater therapy; a series of guided activities to be carried out in groups or couples, preparatory to theater as a therapeutic, introspective and self-evaluative game”.
